Volunteer Coordinator 

Fixed-term (12 months), with the intention to extend subject to funding
Full time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £22,000 pa

We are so excited to be recruiting our very own Volunteer Coordinator.  Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with our museum, and our ambition is to work with a whole host of volunteers across a range of different aspects of the museum, from co-creating programmes and exhibitions to sharing knowledge and experience.  This role will be instrumental in helping us realise our ambition, by setting up our volunteering programme; recruiting and developing volunteers, and managing ongoing relationships.  If this sounds like your bag then get in touch.  This role is funded through the Arts Council England NPO and CRF schemes and is initially for a period of 12 months although we will be aiming to extend that.

Visitor Experience Assistants (casual)

Part-time casual opportunities
£8.72/hr

Our Visitor Experience Assistants help make sure that every visitor feels welcome, respected and connected to a museum that values the part that everyone plays in the story of medicine and healthcare.  We are looking for vibrant, flexible and friendly team members to provide excellent customer service.

Your role will include welcoming visitors, ticketing, working in the museum shop, helping to host conferences and events, and regular time spent on exhibition galleries.   It will also involve ensuring visitors, volunteers and staff adhere to COVID guidelines including social distancing measures.  We are looking for a number of casual Visitor Experience Assistants who we can call on during busy periods, so if you think you can make a difference to each and every one of our visitors then apply today. These posts are part-funded through the Arts Council England Cultural Resilience Fund and the Heritage Emergency Fund.
