Customer Relations Officer

Permanent, full-time role 

Salary: £22,000 per annum 

If you understand the importance of making sure customer transactions are a pleasure for everyone involved; if you have an instinct for using data to drive excellence and if you get a buzz from working with people then we want to hear from you.

The Customer Relations Officer will combine being a first point of contact for business enquiries relating to group bookings and special customer requirements with acting as the specialist support for customer relations data management across the museum. Through making sure enquiries are turned into business and by making sure that all the data relating to that business is properly recorded and evaluated, you will help the museum learn more about its visitors and customers and play a critical role in helping us be a better place for everyone.

You will be a careful record-keeper, comfortable using IT systems, and have experience with CRM systems. Working in an independent museum with a strong public ethos, you will be a people-oriented, flexible self-starter who enjoys variety and takes pride in customer satisfaction.

Programmes Manager

Programmes Manager

Permanent full-time role with occasional weekend working

Salary: £28,000

Are you ready to manage our ambitious and inclusive engagement programme and prove that museums really can change lives?

This exciting role will develop a co-created and representative programme of engagement across our platforms and includes managing exhibitions, production of digital content, research and community development inspired by our amazing collections. Partnership working will be key to developing a vibrant and relevant offer and the post-holder will manage core staff and commission others as projects require.

You will be a key member of a team that understands and loves our museum and its mission, has a passion for creating and sharing it with diverse public and proving the impact our work can have.

Trustee

The Thackray Museum of Medicine in Leeds is recruiting trustees to join its Board as non-executive directors. This is an unpaid, voluntary position, helping to provide governance of one of the region’s most important independent museums.

The role will see you act as a guardian of purpose, ensuring the museum makes strategic decisions that are in the best interest of the community, the museum’s vision, and brand positioning.

We pride ourselves in cultivating a Board of Trustees that reflects a diverse mixture of backgrounds, perspectives and lived experience and Equality and Inclusion are core values of our work. We actively encourage applications from all and to help us to continue to strive for an inclusive Board we would be particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are:
