Welcome to our soft play area dedicated to under-fives! Crawl through the digestive system and find your way out down the poo slide in our one-of-a-kind soft play area.
You will be guided by our five feel-good friends; Wise Eyes the Owl, Katrina the Caterpillar, Gnasha the Crocodile, Dr Ele the Elephant and Medi the Monkey.

Sparks! is open every day, with six play slots to choose from:
• 10:00–11:00am
• 11:00am–12:00pm
• 12:00–1:00pm
• 1:30–2:30pm
• 2:30–3:30pm
• 3:30–4:30pm
Booking Your Slot
• Under-fives visit free with an adult museum ticket. Simply tell our team on arrival and book a slot.
• Already have your museum ticket? Access to Sparks! is included, but we recommend booking your play slot as soon as you arrive – or in advance by entering your email address and booking a slot online.
• Only visiting Sparks!? You can book a spot for just £3.50 per child – no museum entry needed.
Pro Tip: For the best experience, book early to ensure your preferred time.

How to use SPARKS!
Sparks! is designed specifically for little ones, giving them a safe, engaging space to play, explore, and discover.
• Adult Supervision Required: Make sure little ones are always accompanied by an adult. We allow up to two adults per child, so there’s plenty of space for everyone.
• Time Slots: To keep things nice and relaxed, we offer specific play slots. We get it, though – toddlers aren’t the best timekeepers! If you’re running late, just chat with our team when you arrive.
• Hungry? Our museum café sells a range of delicious drinks, food and snacks for your family. During school holidays we also have indoor and outdoor picnic spaces available too.
