Curing the king workshop

Train as a Tudor pharmacist as our apothecary assistant teaches you how to tend to poor Henry VIII’s complex ailments without making him angry!

What will my students do in this session?

• Students will learn the methods of understanding illness in the Early Modern Period, including how the stars can influence someone’s health, and they’ll even come face to face with some live leeches.
• Students will get a dose of apothecary training and will create their very own Tudor remedies to help heal the King from his various complaints.
