Florence Nightingale workshop

What makes a good nurse? Join Florence Nightingale in this interactive and hand-on workshop and journey back in time to explore the foundations of nursing. Children will learn all about Florence’s life, why her actions were so important and experience what it might have been to like to be in Scutari Hospital during the Crimean War.
What will my pupils do in this session?
- The session will begin in our ‘Who Cares’ gallery while the children consider health care roles and why they are important in both modern and Victorian times.
-
Students will become porters and nurses to help nurse a soldier back to health.
