INSIGHTS Annual Lecture Series: Archaeology and Medicine – Online Lecture

3 October 2020

Insights: in memory of Prof. Monty Losowsky

Our first lecture features mummified remains, bones, and bodies…

Our friends-run lecture series sees experts discuss the peculiar world of health as they span historic and contemporary medicine, uncovering the facts, falsehoods, and everything in-between.

The first half of the lecture series will take place virtually, with on-site lectures resuming in January 2021 and you can book these through Eventbrite:

Lecture 1. Prof.Niels Lynnerup – Mummies and Disease in Ancient Egypt, the Arctic and European prehistory

Lecture 2. Prof.Andrew Wilson – From Digitised Diseases to Inca Sacrifice: Imaging of Bones and Bodies in Bioarchaeology

There will be time to pose questions to our speakers after each lecture is complete.

Both lectures will be hosted via Zoom. You will receive a web link upon purchase of a ticket.
