Mothers in Lockdown focuses on and celebrates the women who have juggled various identities during the pandemic. Taking up the mantle of parent and teacher all rolled into one while still holding onto their own interests, commitments, and identities beyond being a mother.
Told from their perspective, this exhibition is a vivid exploration of the many sacrifices these women have made during lockdown, and a reminder of the resilience we all have to overcome adversity when it comes to the commitment, care and love we hold for family.
The University of Huddersfield and Huddersfield Centre for Research in Education and Society has kindly contributed funding towards this exhibition.
